I should’ve explained this earlier. Sorry about being hard to follow! Everything I’ve done up to this point is part of a daily drawing exercise routine. My placement of guidelines and stuff is pretty loose and non-exact because trying to be exact all the time will result in a very stiff drawing. (That’s why I think practicing drawing fast S’s and quick curves is important). If you’re drawing people you’ll want them to look like people and the truth is all people are soft and squishy and differently shaped. The guides are just a general control thing. Sometimes the middle line will go through the eyes or under or above because the location of the eyes, ears, and nose are interrelated (see here). I guess if you have more questions you can continue asking and I’ll continue trying to answer! In the meantime it’s Fourth of July and I might not be able to answer right away.
